Implant, bridge or denture: compare support and daily care
The first question is what will support the replacement teeth. An implant is a support in the jaw; a bridge replaces a gap; a denture replaces some or all missing teeth and may be removable. The table is a way to decode a plan, not a claim that every option is suitable for every gap. The shape of the gap, the remaining teeth and gums, bone and overall health are part of the assessment.
A practical comparison starts with the teeth you still have
A plan for one missing tooth differs from a plan for an entire arch. Record the teeth being replaced and the teeth being retained. This prevents an isolated implant price from being compared with a complete replacement plan containing surgery, several supports and a larger restoration.
“Fixed” also needs a clear meaning. It describes how the replacement is retained, not a promise that no repairs or maintenance will ever be needed. The FDA recommends regular cleaning and dental visits after implant treatment and notes that complications can develop early or later.
Bring maintenance into the initial decision
Think through a normal day: removing a denture, cleaning around a bridge, getting back for adjustments and arranging care if a component breaks.
